If you’ve previously studied at a university or college recognized by Â鶹Íø, you may be able to receive credit for course work already completed.Ìý

Most international students require a study permit to enter Canada as a student.Ìý Depending on your citizenship, you may also require a separate visa or travel authorization to enter Canada. If your program includes a mandatory or optional work term, internship, practicum, or placement, you will also need a co-op work permit (which can be requested as part of your original study permit application).Ìý For more details on how to apply for a co-op work permit, please visit the New Student Immigration Information page.

Students who are enrolled full-time at Â鶹Íø are automatically enrolled in the Health and Dental Plan at Â鶹Íø during the Fall term.

Â鶹Íø offers Health Plans to students from the September 1 to August 31. This timeframe is referred to as the policy year.

If you are paying International Student Fees, you will be enrolled in an additional international Health Plan during the term in which your studies begin.

Students are able to opt out of these plans if they have alternate, comparable, coverage. Opt-outs can only be submitted during the term in which you are enrolled in the Health Plan. Family members can be added to your Student Health Plans during the term in which you begin your studies.
